General information

Dear Colleagues,

We cordially invite you to the 23rd Conference of the Hungarian Ethological Society. Because of the unpredictable situation caused by the COVID pandemic, the conference will be held online on 26-27 November. We know that meeting in person is an important part of the conference, therefore, if the situation allows, we organize an excursion on 28 November.

We try to take advantage of the online nature of the conference by inviting some excellent plenary speakers also from abroad.

Because the online poster session did not work properly in the last year, there will be no poster session this year. Participants can present either a traditional, (expectedly) 12+3 minute talk, or a short, 3+2 minute talk. The language of the talks can be either Hungarian or English. Talks in English would obviously help participants from abroad to understand the talks and make it possible that they contribute to the discussions. We kindly ask even those who wish to present their talks in Hungarian, to have their slides in English.

The deadline of the registration is 01 November, 12:00 (noon). The registration is now open and free of charge. Please, note that also participants without presentation has to register!

The talented young researchers affiliated to Hungarian institutions can apply for the “Young Researcher of the Year in Behavioural Sciences” title. You can find the details and the application form here. The deadline of the registration is 22 October, 12:00 (noon).

Questions concerning the conference can be sent to metkonf2021@gmail.com
